Data protection
I take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
It is generally possible to use the website without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name and e-mail address) is collected on these pages, this is done on a voluntary basis as far as possible and your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.
I would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet can have security gaps (e.g. when communicating via e-mail). Unfortunately, it is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.
Note on the responsible body
The controller responsible for data processing on this website can be found in the legal notice. The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. An informal notification by e-mail is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based.
Information, blocking, deletion
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data at any time within the framework of the applicable legal provisions. You can contact me at any time if you have further questions on the subject of personal data
Internet pages sometimes use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make a website more user-friendly, effective and secure – they are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser (so that, for example, a shopping cart in a store still contains your selection the following day).
Most of the cookies used by this website are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you remove them.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
We use the Borlabs plugin, which loads the videos via an opt-in in compliance with data protection regulations:
The following information is stored in the borlabs-cookie:
- Cookie runtime
- Cookie version
- Domain and path of the WordPress website
- Consents
- UID
The UID is a randomly generated ID and not personal information.
Is visitor data transmitted to Borlabs?
Absolutely no information about your visitors is transmitted to Borlabs.
Server log files
The provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These are Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request. The following applies: This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.
This homepage is hosted by All-inkl. The storage of server log files has been deactivated.
Use of videos (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo)
I use the Borlabs plugin, which loads the videos via an opt-in in compliance with data protection regulations:
Privacy policy due to the use of a YouTube plugin
This website contains at least one plugin from YouTube, which belongs to Google Inc. and is based in San Bruno, California, USA.
When you are on YouTube: As soon as the page of this homepage with a YouTube video is called up and playback is started, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which specific page of this website has been visited. If you are logged in, your surfing behavior will be assigned to your personal profile.
You can prevent this by logging out of YouTube. Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. If you want to upload a video to YouTube or comment on it, you must be logged in to Google, which is why Google data protection applies.
This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from YouTube. I use the extended data protection mode, which, according to the provider, only starts storing user information when the video is played. The moment the playback of the embedded video is started, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about your user behavior.
According to YouTube, these are used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior.
Irrespective of playback of the embedded videos, a connection to the Google “DoubleClick” network is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations without our influence.
DoubleClick – personalized advertising
“Although the connection to DoubleClick does not result in DoubleClick cookies being set in addition to YouTube cookies, if one of the advertising network’s “cookies” is already in the browser cache, the cookie IDs are transferred to DoubleClick” Source: ct’Webdesign (2017)
Deactivate personal advertising in the browser via browser plugins
Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
We use the Shariff plugin, which was developed by the computer magazine c’t.
Excerpt from the plugin description:
The original share buttons automatically send information about your visitors to the social networks. It is not necessary for them to actively click on one of the buttons, but this already happens in the background when the page is called up. Users have no choice as to whether they want to send information to Facebook and Co. or not. The German computer magazine c’t has therefore developed “Shariff”
(ʃɛɹɪf)
, which can be used to integrate data protection-compliant sharing buttons that meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Directive (EU) 2016/679). This plugin implements the Shariff concept in an easy-to-use form for WordPress. It currently supports 32 services: AddThis, Bitcoin, Diaspora, Facebook, Flattr, Flipboard, GooglePlus, LinkedIn, mailto, Mastodon, Odnoklassniki, Patreon, PayPal, PayPal.me, Pinterest, Pocket, Printer, Qzone, Reddit, RSS, SMS, Stumbleupon, Telegram, TencentWeibo, Threema, Tumblr, Twitter, VK, Wallabag, Weibo, WhatsApp, Xing.
Google Web Fonts
We use Google web fonts, which are installed on the server and do not establish a connection to Google.
SSL encryption
This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests you send to me as the site operator (e.g. comments). You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “https://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in the address line of the browser.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to me cannot be read by third parties.
Right to information, deletion, blocking
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing at any time. You also have the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted.
You can contact me at any time at the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions on the subject of personal data.
